Native Plants 1 – Collection

Following the fire of 2009 which destroyed three quarters of the native woodland of the animal reserve of Pumakawa (www.pumakawa.org ) we proposed making a seed bank of native species to begin rebuilding the woodland. These books are the result of this work. The seeds from the bank are in these booklets intended to increase sowing of the trees.

The reader will receive seeds with each booklet – of one of the species discussed – from the bank of germplasm created by Pumakawa in 2011 with which they can start their seedlings. With the simple instructions included, they can grow samples in every home of the native species mentioned.
